Duke’s Junk Recycling Announces New Location
Duke’s Junk Recycling is opening a new location at 6726 Burnet Rd. in Austin. This drop-off center, in the middle of the Allandale, Crestview, and Spyglass-Barton’s Bluff neighborhoods, opens to the public on Monday, February 17, 2020.
We wanted a more central location for the people of Austin. At Duke’s Junk Recycling, it’s all about convenience.Amos Mallett, owner and operator of Duke’s Junk Recycling
Duke’s Junk Recycling offers a clean, safe alternative to the dump. They provide services the city cannot, including mattress recycling and furniture removal. According to the owner, their team recycles 80% of the commercial and residential junk that comes through their facility.
Mallett and his business have recently been certified as Austin Green Business Leaders at the Platinum Level. Customers already enjoy Duke’s quality service, which Mallett believes will be even faster at the new location. They also offer commercial product destruction and trailer rentals. Items for recycling can be dropped off, and pick-up services are available.
The recycling center first opened at 1602 Bench Mark Dr. in 2014. The original location will remain open for commercial customers, including 18-wheeler loads. The new operation on Burnet Rd. will help Austin residents get rid of unwanted junk without visiting the landfill.
Amos Mallett has been hard at work getting the new location ready for the February 17 opening. According to him, this is an important step for the future of Duke’s Junk Recycling.
Austin has been good to us, and we’re excited to be growing. We’ll continue doing everything we can to make it easy for people to keep junk out of the landfill.Amos Mallett, owner and operator of Duke’s Junk Recycling
Duke’s Junk Recycling is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
